In addition to the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games and the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, there are many global sporting opportunities for UK businesses.

The market in sports infrastructure is becoming increasingly competitive however there is a constant stream of business opportunities - from feasibility and planning stages, to fitting out stadia and transport links, to VIP management, security and ticketing.

Scottish Development International and Scottish Enterprise are working in association with UK Trade & Investment to raise awareness with Scottish organisations about opportunities in the Global Sports Projects sector and together can facilitate connections to the decision makers of future sporting events worldwide, this includes signposting to different levels of support and highlighting procurement processes.
