Scotland House Discussion Series – new events added

To mark our 25th anniversary of networking Scotland in Europe, Scotland Europa and the Scottish Government EU Office are pleased to launch a new series of discussion sessions, which will focus on sharing views, expertise and experience from Scotland with our European partners.

We are delighted to be partnering with leading Scottish law firm Brodies LLP on the series, which takes place in the context of great change for Scotland, the UK and the EU, and will be an opportunity to share Scotland’s insight on a range of fields including: financial services, energy, history, trade, fair work, and will have a special focus on legal issues and the potential constitutional implications in the context of Brexit.

To launch the Discussion Series, Judge Ian Forrester QC of the General Court of the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg will deliver an evening lecture on the application of EU laws in the UK after Brexit, followed by a question and answer session. All guests are then invited to join us for a networking reception showcasing food and drink from Scotland.

This page will be regularly updated with details of upcoming discussion sessions, which will take place throughout the year, as well as information on how to register.
